RiLy - Otherwise know as Maria, Ri, Ri-Ri...
I've always been interested in piercings... I got my ears pierced at
the age of 3 with my mom at the mall. Then for as long as I can
remember I continued begging my mother to let me get a second set of
ear piercings, but she was completely against it. At about 15, I
convinced my Nana to get my ears pierced for the second time, and also
a third ear piercing on the one side. From that point on, I continued
to admire those who had untraditional piercings.
At 16, the friends that I spent my time with had found a tattoo &
piercing studio that didn't check for ID's. One night we all decided to
go and get our tongues pierced, despite the fact that our parents
wouldn't approve. The piercing lasted for about 3-days before the ball
loosened and it fell out in my sleep, so I went and had it re-pierced.
At 18, I received my first tattoo of a butterfly and couldn't stop
thinking of what my next tattoo would be. I waited about a year and
then went to a highly experienced shop in Lancaster. I had a lower back
piece done to incorporate my small butterfly. I absolutely loved it!
Since I had received such a great experience, I got my tongue pierced
again and had no problems with it what so ever. That made me realize
that I had fallen into the addiction of Tattoos and Piercings. I then
worked in the industry for about six years, watching others who had
also become addicted to tattoos and piercings. As I continued assisting
in procedures for both tattoos and piercings, I started to add to my
own personal collection. I now have a total of 12 tattoos and a total
of 15 piercings! I realized that this industry had become a huge part
of my life and personality, so I decided to involve myself further.
I'm now a body piercer and I'm working at "Addictive
Expressions" with my body piercing business. I'm excited to meet my new cliental and give them a
piercing experience to remember!
